2013 Home- Built, Partially constructed 29' Modified St. Pierre Dory

This vessel is a partially constructed 29' Dory built by the late James Schmidt, based off plans for a St. Pierre 27 Dory.  Mr. Schmidt modified the plans to lengthen the vessel by approximately 2', plus modifications were made to increase headroom.  The St. Pierre Dory was designed by David Roberts, designer and boatbuilder, Nexus Marine, Everett, WA.  It has the safety & sea kindliness of a sailboat hull with the comfort of a motor cruiser.  The Asmo Marine electric motor and batteries to power the boat are still in the crate waiting to be installed.   Topsides and deck have been finished with Interlux paint.  All interior & exterior joiner-work was constructed to the highest standards.  Portlights were designed & constructed by Mr. Schmidt.  The helmsman chair was custom built of solid wood and finished with a high-gloss finish.    An appraisal was performed  of the vessel in 2018 and from a labor standpoint it is estimated to be 85% complete.   Since this vessel is a one-of-a-kind, home-built there are no values listed in the commonly referenced vessel publications.  The designer & builder of the St Pierre 27 reported that reported that the cost for a finished hull, without power was approximately $129,000.  It is estimated that the builder of this vessel had over $75,000 invested in parts and materials alone.  This boat is waiting to be finished and enjoyed!  Make an offer!
